Sven Arvid Lignell (1920 - 1985) was a Swedish modernist painter primarily known for still lifes, portraits, and landscapes. His work often reflects a stylized geometry, cubist-inspired shapes, and atmospheric depth. The majority of his most vibrant work was painted in the 1950s-60s, with many examples found in the public collections of the City of Stockholm, the City of Gothenburg, and the Galleria del Arte Moderna, Madrid.
