Olaf Tangen (1903 - 1997) was a Norwegian painter primarily known for his coastal landscapes, figurative studies, and still lifes. Tangen experimented with almost every modern art movement that came about during his lifetime, favoring French Post-Impressionism, Cubism, and, later, non-figurative abstraction. HIs work can be found in the permanent collections of several Norwegian museums, including the Berg-Kragero Museum, the Haugesund Art Gallery, and the National Museum.
